Founded in 1994, the Native American AIDS Project is the only organization providing culturally specific HIV prevention and CARE services to Native Americans in the state of California.
Staff and volunteers come from diverse communities with an indigenous understanding of cultural issues. The Native American AIDS Project embraces the entire community; youth, elders, men and women, gay, straight, two-spirited, sober and actively using.
All services draw upon Native cultural, spiritual, behavioral and medical traditions to communicate HIV prevention messages.
